The theme for this competition was 'AI for Social Good- Education . We chose to tackle the problem of over-reliance on AI tools reducing critical thinking abilities in young adults.
Problem
Students increasingly rely on AI tools for quick answers, often at the cost of critical thinking and independent reasoning. For many, using AI has become a habit rather than a conscious choice, driven by speed and convenience but often accompanied by discomfort or quiet dependence.
Solution
This project reframes AI as a tool for thinking, not shortcuts. Inspired by the Socratic Method, it uses guided questioning and reflection to help users examine their ideas, expand their thinking, and build self-awareness through more mindful AI interactions.
